: I grabbed a shot of my current accent strip work and though I'd post it. It
: is going to work out okay but I've had some pretty scary moments. I glued
: up loaves of this pattern and then ripped them into 1/4" strips. Some
: of these joints cracked apart when I bent them down to the adjoining
: strip. So, I'm having to go back and rework certain pieces individually (I

: goes pretty fast; I'm using a chisel and a small heavy plane to re-trim
: each point of failure. I finally figured out that wetting the strips will

hi chip,
looks good! just keep the vision of what it will look like completed fresh in your mellon. i often used that for motivation, it sparked creativity as well. btw, i noticed your hand plane in the pic. looks to a nice item. if you lay it on its side when your done your iron will stay sharper much longer.
