Check out Guillemot Kayak's Great Auk. Yeah, it's a 17-footer, but in his book, Nick shows how to respace the forms to make it a 14-footer. I talked to Nick last year at the WoodenBoat show, and he said he was working on plans for the 14-foot version, slightly wider than the original Great Auk, and with forms spaced every foot, so you don't have to mess with the odd measurements in the book. And you can make the cockpit any size you want.
