Actually, when CLC came out to the Bay Area Paddlefest last year I think they had one of their models painted entirely blaze red fading to yellow like some of the molded plastic boats (Perception?). Looked very much like a "commercial" boat, but with different (better?) lines.

But very few people were looking at that, when they had all the bright finished ones on the beach. So you may have a good point there, Shawn.
