performance "stitch and glue"

Hello all,
does anybody know something about the performance of a stitch and glue kayak in comparision to a strip build one ?
I believe, that a strip build performs better, but how much ? I have the intention to build an "expedition single" in "stitch and glue". What are you thinking about ?
