Richard, there are no prices. I've seen advertised prices of $1000-3400 for epoxy/plywood kayaks but I don't know how many are sold at what price. "Well known home made kayak" is a contradiction in terms. If something is well known then there is marketing and a reputation behind the construction and design and it's no longer home made. I'd suggest you look at some of the other designs than the Cape Charles as there are better handling kayaks for wind and waves.
