Jen, If you are looking for free standing storage, the pic sent looks great and would be easy to duplicate. If you are looking for personal storage in say your garage, I have made many for my customers real cheap. Pick up a length of electrical conduit piping either 1/2" dia. or slightly larger (usually 8-10 feet for only 2-5 $) and bend it with a pipe bender into a "J" shape. the pipe is quite strong. After drill holes in long end and lag bolt it to a wall support two by four. for boat protection, slide a piece of pipe insulation over the entire pipe and maybe a plastic pipe end.
