: I measure the pump shaft stroke length on my epoxy and hardener bottles and
: mark divisions of 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 with a marker , then carve a
: shallow notch since the resin and hardener will wash off any ink marker.
: This allows me to dispense very small amounts. I've never had a problem using
: this method in ten years.
I used to do that with my Raka pumps--marked the shaft with a piece of tape...
It didn't work, and I ended up chucking a couple of small projects into the scrap bin. Now, I measure into small graduated medicine cups from the pharmacy...urine sample cups also work well.
Whatever brand of epoxy pump you've been using might be more burp-free (read: reliable) than the Raka pumps. I love Raka epoxy, but I don't trust Larry's pumps anymore.
