Western Larch is Larix Occidentalis grows to over 200' found from Southern BC
to Northern Idaho and Oregon .
Tamarack is a tree of the boreal forest and max'es out at 50'.
While the wood of both trees are similar Western larch produces a large amount of clear straight grained wood.
