Hey there Matthew,
I've had similar problems with some glass tape. I used the technique from the One Ocean site with some success although on my next boat I am just going to cut my own tape from 6 oz cloth so that it will wet out clear. It is still pretty visible on my finished boat.
The link to the one ocean site is below.
: I`m having the damndest time trying to get the tape on the keel seam of my
: Coho to wet out fully (disappear).
: I rolled it on with a 1/8 inch foam roller and tried to tip it out with a
: foam brush but still got air bubbles, milky spots, and the edges don`t
: seem to want to lie down into the epoxy, but almost curl up to spite me.
: Also couldn`t seem to make it stick to the hull without puckering out at the
: almost 90 degree keel to stern transition.
: I got frustrated and peeled it off before it cured. Any advice before I try
: again would be greatly appreciated.
: Thanks, MBF
