Sounds like the Rice Bugs we used to see back in the Nam. The locals hunted them as a delicacy. Fried, over easy or the hard core just bit their heads off and......... Well, that's another story all together. If we could catch them, they'd pay us a nickle a piece for them..... alive. They'd eat lots of rice all day and then fly up around our flight-line ( stadium ) lights until they got drunk from ferminted rice and then dropped wherever they ran out of gas. Money to be made there!!

Do those critters have horns ( beaks to crack the rice hulls )??? Could be imported. :)

Wow!! Those were the days....
