Hi, Richard - We built a CLC Cape Charles 18 which is supposed to be for big people. It does carry a lot of gear for long trips, but I would make the hatches larger than what's called for. (Our kit was built about 5 years ago, there may have been some changes by now). Also, the height from the top of the cockpit rise to the floor is pretty small for long-legged people to get in. My husband and I (6'1" and 5'9" respectively) were constantly shinning our knees on the cross-brace under the cockpit. We recently traded to a shorter friend who is very happy in it. One other potential problem - check the riser on the cockpit coaming before gluing on the final piece. Ours were too short to accommodate a neoprene sprayskirt with bungee. One more riser piece would have made the difference. The kit was easy to follow and very complete.
cheers, Judy
