In Response To: Digital scale for measure (Tony)
The digital scale is a good way to go, but keep an eye on density differences between the resin and hardener. When the mfr. says 2:1 by volume, they mean it. For example, System 3 resin weighs 9.14 lb/gal, but Hardeners 1,2&3 weigh 8.17, 8.12 & 7.91 respectively. Per 100 parts of resin, you would use 50 parts by volume, but only 43 parts by weight.
: I use a digital scale to measure by weight. It works pretty well. To dispense
: the resin & hardener, I use a ketsup squirt bottle.
