: An acquaintance of ours has done a couple of the Pygmy kits. He told us that
: he measured the fiberglass tape on the outside of the boat, rolled the
: tape around one of the paint rollers that you use to do corners, soaked it
: in epoxy, then just rolled it down the seam. I believe he said he used one
: of the extension handles for the roller so that it would reach all the way
: to the end of the boat.
That would work too. I was trying to avoid having to unroll 17 feet of wet glass tape starting at the end of the boat. I found it much easier to unroll two rolls (in one piece) both starting from the center. Though the roller would help smooth things out.
