This kayak I just bought for $5. I am ecstatic! It is made of fiber glass. But.... it has been neglected and sitting around for who knows how long!
It has cracks and weak spots in it. I want to patch it up with fiber glass and use it! But it feels so flimsy!
So I'm thinking of patching it all up, painting it and maybe it'll be stronger. i think the person who started building it never finished it. It isn't painted or anything. I was also reading about enameling the whole thing, would that make it heavier? I would like to find out the best thing to do.
keeping in mind I want to keep it as light as possible, thus I figure the patching and painting will work best.
Hope someone can help me.
Thanks
