Mike, thanks for bringing it up, I've wasted a lot of 2" velcro trying to rely on the adhesive it comes with. It seems that when the area of the velcro is big enough it holds on well enough that the adhesive starts pullin up at the edges, or the mess of adhesive it leaves behind doesn't stay attached to the velcro strip. Unless the seat is really jammed into place I almost think it's worth having a tether just in case.
