: This kajak is 5.75m long and 0,52m beam. With a high seat a small race rudder
: and a happy paddler this kajak is a bullet and great fun to canoe. The
: kajak on the foto is a trip version with higher sides and it is also
: designed for rudder use. The Standard kajak is lower and has some more
: area aft.
: Sadly it is me in the boat the builder to the foto
: Hans
very nice hans
20.5in x 18-10 or so, looks like the low version would be a rocket. probably barely needs that rudder too. can the rudder you're using flip up and around - what am i seeing?
i see where bobby sees the s&g heritage, but must too rounded - strip process on a strongback? and round sheers yaks in the future? i bet so - your work is evolving.s&g, production, rounder rockets.
altho you're not the builder i wish she'd put hatch lips under(for a flush hatch), & made the hatch side lines follow the gap between the dark and lt wood-its a natural. (Hey, if you extended the hatch groove further along the sides and inset a small gate slide latch with the little handle folding down the 90 hatch line -it would be another flush hatch latch condition, but real strong too)but its nice and i'm a jerk for mentioning it.
whats next? does your work just evolve around design or do you build these prototypes too? Are you playing w/ any other types of accessories, hardware, or yak possibilites? do you work as well as play or just play?
