I did try some whitewater boats at the Paddlesports Expo, and I knda liked the loose feel. But, I have no experience, and might find it annoying later on. I can easily add a skeg, and I am planning to putz around in the local harbor where turning easily can be nice.

Keep in mind that the boat is twenty feet long too.

Going against common wisdom doesn't scare me. I don't mind having something that handles different than a real sea kayak. I gotta be me. But I will listen to reason, and welcome comments and observations as well as suggestions and critcism (constructive).
