I used an old paint can, an old radiator hose and some PVC plumbing pipe, and powered it with an electric hot plate. It works like magic, and the 1/4" stuff I bent only took 15 min in the steamer. There are web sites with advice.
Give it a try, it doesn't cost much or take any real time.
