: We are transforming a K1 into a C1 but we wanted some advise about the sit.
: we haven't used a C1 before. so every advise is welcome such as form,
: materials..
: the boat is from polyester.
: Thanks

If you haven't used a C1 before why do you want one? Have you even tried one?

I paddled a C1 for a few years. They can be fun. They take a lot more skill to paddle than a K1.

The reason for the width difference is because in a C1 (Closed solo canoe) you kneel on the bottom with your butt on a foam pillar. This means your ass is about 3 to 5 inches off the hull bottom depending how limber your joints are.

If you're really going to do this K1 to C1 Frankinstein surgery let me know when you'll test it out. I haven't had a good laugh recently. If you can stop from going over after a few dozen times you'll be spinning in circles trying to figure out what to do wit the paddle.

Sell the K1 and buy a used C1 if you don't intend on enrolling in the fall schedule of the School of Hard Knocks.
