Very impressive Davidhopper

It reminds me of a custom camper set-up my dad built in our old VW bus in the 70's. Lot of plywood platforms and such in that one. We slept a family of six in that bus.

Yours looks like it is mainly plywood. Is that platform a fold-out bed? It looks to be at the same level as the cab's roof. Any trouble climbing up there to go to sleep? Do you put a foam mattress on it? Did you use basic stitch and glue techniques to put the whole thing together? Where did you get the windows? How long did it take to build, and how much were the materials?

Sorry for the inquisition, but it's very impressive. I wish I had seen it in person.
