After re-reading your first post I see that I mis-interpreted the process and setup for the single cup balance.

I think you have a great idea!

If you are over-dispensing resin or hardener into the cup, you need to work on getting a better dispensing method. Then your balance doesn't need to accommodate dispensing errors.
