: My guess is that microballoons make the endpour lighter and maybe a little
: (in weight and coloure) and weaker depending on how thick you make the
: mix. If you are trying for a pygmy dam - type endpour, I reckon make the
: mix thick. If you are going for a Nick Schade end-o-pour I reckon runny is
: necessary.
: The heat generated by a large lump of epoxy is outrageous. I can't remember
: the quote, but it goes something like 6 oz left in a cup for 10 minutes
: generates enough heat to boil.
: On this BB a few people have had their ends (kayaks) discoloured from the
: heat. So to that end 2 seperate small goes at the end pour is probably
: better than 1 killer gloop. Somepeople put the bow in a plastic bag and
: plonk the whole lot into a bucket of water to disperse the heat.
: Good luck

Speaking of end pours, I plan to do mine soon, but I'm almost out of epoxy so I picked up some general purpose fiberglassing resin with the little tube of catalyst. will it do a proper job for an end pour??
Thanks for advice on this one.
