I really didn't address the issue of end pours, but I wouldn't think of doing an end pour without a substantial amount of filler added. In addition to reducing the heat generated, it also keeps the weight down.
I didn't do the same kind of end pours in my North Star since it wasn't necessary, but I will need to on my Guillemot and I'm really not looking forward to it. I would rather find an alternative but I haven't come up with one yet.
I still have alot to learn and that's why I keep coming back to this BB. Thank you for the good feedback Pete.
