Ive had two of the most interesting questions from spectators this week. Aside from the usual 'did you build it?' and 'what kind of wood is it' etc, I had one person ask me 'how many thousands of pieces of wood did you use?' To which I laughed and said I had no idea. Now I'm curious....

And yesterday somebody asked me if that was a fiberglass boat, with wood painted on it. I was a little too shocked to think of a snappy comeback, so I just said 'nope. it's wood with fiberglass over it'. We talked for awhile, he was with the dept of fish and wildlife, checking the boats. I guess they were actually catching a few salmon there.
