Interior seam tape techniques?

Tomorrow night (finally) I'm taping the interior deck/hull seam. So far I've found several different techniques for wetting out the tape.
- Soak the rolled up tape in resin, then unroll it into the seam.
- Lay the tape into the seam dry, then wet it out with a brush on-a-stick.
- Wet out a bit of the tape at a time, push it toward the stem with a stick, wet out the next bit, repeat until done.
I've never done this before and would appreciate any advice, pros, cons, other technique...
Thanks,
Andy.
