Sorry Mike, that wasn't very clear... I think I was already on my three-day weekend. I shove one end of my paddle under a bungie on my fore-deck. The bungie alongside the cockpit anchors the other end. It's handy when I'm on the water and need to secure my paddle while I'm reaching for the camera, a sandwich, beer, etc. It's not really solid enough for stowage while I'm carrying or entering/exiting the boat. Also, I keep a break-apart paddle on my far rear deck when I'm on exposed water as a backup.
