: Elliot,
: How do you like the greenland stick so far?
: Jim
Hmmm, Good question. It,s cheap to make. It works. I have to answer alot of questions I'm not qualified to answer yet. I think I would like to buy Jays video and get a little instruction before I decide for sure.
I have made one observation though; I feel like I have alot more initial and top speed with a Euro stlye paddle. My friend bought one from Eureka it has a longer outside and a ferule in the middle which lets you change the plane I guess its a wind thing? We both use it with the blades even with each other not with the odd plane. I like it but it seems a little flimsy compared to the greenland I made. It is also longer than my paddle. The next one I make for that reason and to get a little more blade in the water will be 8 foot. the one I built i stood up and curled my fingers and made a mark getting the overall length. It appears a little short.
Try to remember I am not JOE KAYAKER so I probably dont know beans. I just know what I feel when I'm in my boat.
One thing I do know, When I use the Euro, the kayak is a rocket.
Cheers, Elliott
