bring a friend of similar weight and paddle, cross pieces in case the hull doesn't have anthing to keep it from bowing out like bulkheads. Trade places "yep, that looks good",,"move forward 1/2"" etc. using paddle jammed under ribs mark the spot, as well as other markers, then when you get back home sit back in the boat and check marks again. That way a little paddling you can see what shifting around does.
