Not to worry. Most of the boats on this board started in the same way. Not with the foam and glass, but with a dream, or idea and folks here are still inventing new things all the time.

Don't know how long you've been following the board, but recently there have been several discussions as to the types, materials and techniques for various skin boats. Just back down the list and you should find several ideas or styles of boat to choose from. And welcome to the group.

Whatever you decide to build, there'll be more than enough help and ideas floating around to get you through it with flying colors. Enjoy!!
