I'm beginning to build a guillemot single (my first kayak - I'm addicted already) out of cedar. I got my hands on some beautiful redwood, which made me think far into the future about my next kayak. I'd like to use my kayak for backcountry trips (5-6 days) and wand to build an expedition single also. Since I already have the forms aligned (after plenty of sweat and tears) I'd hate to waste them. If I just extend the forms one foot fore and aft of the cockpit, will my guillemot single forms make an expedition single?
