: Both of these boats appeal to me.I'm 5'9" 150 lbs. and want a boat
: capable of long weekend open ocean travel. Speed, stability and tracking
: are more important than ultimate manueverabiliy. Who has experience with
: the Cape Anne and, or the Silver
I am building the Sport. I reviewed many designs including the Silver. My size and intended use, like yours, made me consider both of these kayaks. However, I have not paddled either kayak, yet. One Ocean Kayak has an abundance of hull performance data I found helpful; however, I understand its no substitute for a test drive. One reason I chose the Sport, I really liked the Elan at marinerkayak.com, but I wanted to build a stripper and I felt that the Sport offered some of what I liked about the Elan: stern keel, hard chine, and swede form hull. The Silver is slightly fish form from what Joe tells me. I will E-mail you my correspondance with Vaclav @ One Ocean Kayak, it may be useful.
Good Luck
