Clear " Heart " redwood is easy to find here in Fresno. White Pine lumber or Fitzsimmons Lbr. have it. I checked it out to make a paddle and got a quote on a piece of 2" x 8" x 8' redwood clear heart. $64.95 for one board. NOT!! Or not until I get a little better at making a paddle.
