If that's the case, then I'm not addicted. I've taken a 1.5 year break in between my boatbuilding projects. Now if we're talking about online discussion about kayak building, I'm as compulsive-addicted as they come. Or online discussion about paddling. Or paddling wooden boats...

I have come to hate remodeling projects. After building a couple of boats, my wife thinks I can build anything! I try to line up all of my remodeling and "honey-do" projects and pound them out in rapid succession, then forget all about them for a year. Then, I build a boat, and do nothing else. Then, I start paddling, and do nothing else. It works for me!

Now there are 3 distinct kayak designs that I want to be paddling right now, aside from the one I'm trying to restart:

• Squeedunk Cormorant (the one I'm trying to get going again--wife's/play boat)
  
• Outer Island or Night Heron
  
• Something along the lines of the NDK Romany Explorer
  
• Something like Al Gunther's 30-day boat or a Redfish King

  So many boats, so little time! Now the paddling addiction sucks!!
