Hi Pete, I think Woodcraft will also sharpen (for $2.99) any tool you bring into them. I would only consider it if I had a nasty kink or nick in a tricky blade like this.
Do you have experience with any of the single/double radius planes (i.e. Carving Spoon or the 100-1/2 Hollowing Plane)? That's what I've got my eye on for fairing the inside of my boat.
