: 'Nanook of the North' is on video and includes some good footage of Eastern
: Hudson Bay kayaks.

: Plans are not available ... from a drawing and Bob Boucher's Video on
: Greenland Kayak Building and the various books and magazine articles will

: often the ribs are of 3 piece construction which is somewhat easier to do
: than steam bent ribs for a beginner.

: Eastern Canadian kayak hulls are mostly flat bottomed and hard chined - they

Thanks West for the info. If you or anyone has a number or address for the Canadian Museum of Civilization (in Hull, Quebec)I would like to order that book from then right away. The only book that was available from the libaray loan was Contributions to Kayak Studies by Eugene Arima which was somewhat helpful but did not have that many models or plans that I would consider to build for myself. I could only borrow it for two weeks which was not enough time to extract all the info I would of liked.
