I'm looking to begin another boatbuilding project soon, and I need some raw supplies...like 4mm plywood. Rather than pay huge amounts of shipping, I thought I would do a little research in my local area. Anyone within 200 miles of Chicago stock 1088 Okume? Can I use some other cheaper alternative if I fill the gaps? I saw the discussion on this site about non 1088 Okume, and the concensus seemed to be that it's OK if the plies are filled.
