Hey ONeil,
I built a Queen Charlotte XL and have been stoked on its speed and the way you can lay it on its sides to carve turns.I used 4 oz cloth,3/4 inch thick end pours, exposed weave on inside bottom, composite skeg box,no glass on the deck, foam bulkheads which kept the weight at 39 lbs.I am a big boy too,but found this yak to be just right for Florida off shore fishing and cruising!
my two cents! ! Good luck ONeil
