Hi-

If I'm not mistaken, that picture accompanied an article by Ralph Diaz, our local metro area kayak (especially FOLDING kayak) guru. Ralph is very well known on many e-mail lists, like Paddlewise, etc.

There is a very active NY paddling community, who are feeling the terror very personally. The Downtown Boathouse, located about Canal Street has been closed down and their embayment, where they run their public programs, is being dredged for the use of barges carting away debris.

Yesterday our club in Yonkers as well as Inwood Canoe Club (Manhattan) and Sebago Canoe Club (Brooklyn) hosted any paddlers form DTBH who wanted to get out and paddle. We will continue to do so.

Even from Yonkers the skyline will never be the same...

Thanks to all of you for your support.
