enlarging original Guillemot forms

Has anyone out there taken built forms for the 17ft Guillemot and then enlarged them in some way so that a different sized kayak can be built? I am wondering if a little more stability and roomyness can be added by laminating pieces to the original forms which are allready cut and assembled?
