Inland Red Cedar vs. Western Red Cedar

What's the difference between Inland Red Cedar and Western Red Cedar for kayak building? Where I live the Inland Red Cedar is much more available. Is the Inland Red Cedar good for kayak building? How do the 2 compare in terms of weight and durability.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
