Mounting Footpegs

When I finished my Artic Tern, I didn't want to drill holes in the hull to mount the footpegs (yes, I'm the same guy who was afraid to cut holes in the deck for hatches). As an alternative, I mounted the footpeg tracks to one inch wide strips of 4-mm plywood with 3/16" stainless flathead bolts and nuts. I then attached the wood strips to the inside of the hull with 3M-5200 in order to get good adhesion and keep moisture out of the union. It has worked well. Best regards to all boatbuilders.
