Hi Dan,

I owe my inspiration to a fellow that described how he made this type of rack on the board several months ago. I tried to look up his name in my papers to give him credit but I can't find it. I drove nearly 2000 miles on my trip at Interstate speeds upto 75 mph and never had a problem. I had about $40 in my rack also, except for the kayak feet I bought on E-Bay.

My next goal is trying to get in my kayak gracefully without falling out. I've never seen anyone do this and so I don't know how it is done.
