: Ross reminded me that I should update everyone on the Morris Greenland
: project. It’s close to skinning time. The massik needs to be fitted and
: the cowling formed. Otherwise, she’s ready to skin.
: This kayak is for my friend Jim (who was at R2K1). He decided to go with
: 16.5’ X 24”. Jim’s looking for a stabile platform for bird watching and
: will be spending most of his time on protected water.
: We’ve used a variety of wood. Port Orford Cedar, Cypress, African Mahogany,
: White Oak, Cherry and Birch dowels, and 2 small pieces of marine plywood.
: This picture is two weeks old, so don't freak about all those squared off
: edges. They no longer exist.

Hey Roger
I wouldn't have thought that this method of measureing would lend itself to an excessively stable platform for his interests. Did you go entirely by the methods in the book, or did you increase the beam in order to give more initial stability? Juat Curious as I have a Morris boat on my mind as well.
