Yeh, I used it exclusively on my Walrus. I was steaming and bending 3/4" x 1" material for the gunnals, chines and stringers. I was using the micro-waved, wet towels and then putting weights on the wood ( like 3' bar clamps ) and just left it alone and it bent around quite nicely. I also did some 1/4" x 3/4" strips as a test project and after 20 minutes of steaming in my group-bong steamer, I twisted one strip 720* from one end to the other. It was 5' long. The other strip I took out of the steamer and immediately bent into a 360* bend. I didn't baby it, but just bent it around and clamped it together. Both were done with fairly straight grained material, no knots. It worked very easily, and I plan on using it for my Great Auk. That and redwood.
