: Could those of you that have used or installed footpumps comment on
: positioning of the intake line? Where do you terminate it?

: Has anyone had any expearience with the Whale Babyfoot Pump?

I mounted my guzzler about 15% off from straight up and down on the front bulkhead. It fits my hull's shape well, about 1/4" off the hull and 1 1/2" from the deck. I put a PVC extension and walnut cap on the top and let the bottom along.

I may have a 1/4" to 1/2" of water at the my seat area ater pumping, but I don't want to mess with hoses (clutter around my feet, extra fasteners or a loose hose to tangle in).

I like the Guzzler, it has more capacity than most of the other foot pumps and is incredibly rugged. I have one at least 15 years old that has pumped all kinds of dirty water, sludge, fuel, etc. and still works fine.
