Don't know about Randy's, but I'm finishing up the installation of a Guzzler in my boat. When building, I measured placement of the front bulkhead so I could attach the pump directly to it (outlet pointed upward). Short length of hose to a nylon fitting glued into the hole in the hull. I put a walnut disk (approx. 4.5" x 1" thick) over the opening to use as a compass mount. The disk has openings to the sides to deflect the water from the pump. I hope this will minimize excess water trying to force its way back into the pump. (The pump of course has one-way valves to keep water from flowing back into the boat.)
Haven't had a chance to test it yet. Maybe this weekend.
