What I have done, and it seems to work OK, is to build a little dam out of some fiberglass cloth a few inches, about 8" or 9" from the ends. I try to do this as soon as possible after the hull is formed and make use of any left over epoxy. First I take thickened epoxy, and coat the outside and corners of the cloth and hopes it seals it. (it usually doesn't on the first try) I then pour in the unthickened epoxy and fill it up as much as possible. When I fasten the deck, I'll make somemore thicken epoxy and place a bunch on top of the hardened epoxy pour so that there is a little overflow on the sides. It probably doesn't form as good a seal since there isn't the chemical bond, but I haven't had any problems yet. That way I don't have to worry about standing it on end. Pamela
