hey you make and design s&g yaks - does this make you think about making (for an experimental/historical yak) all of your hull panels 1/2 inch or 1.25 cm wider toward the keel and completely PREglassing and PREfinishing ea panel and then overlap sewing them together(say stainless cable or wire or something like that) mushing a semi flexible marine sealant (silicone or urethane etc.) in between the panels to make a semblance of the process you have shown us. You might get a funny yak that moves a tiny bit like a skin yak, and has the lapstrake image but w/ the narrow strakes of 1/8in(3mm) ply.
