What rudder mfr did yu install on your Ches 18? The CLC "instructions" only recommend cutting off the overhang for hulls like the Tred Avon. i would not need to cut off any hull with an installation on my Ches 18. I was thinking of adding the rudder to my Ches 18 due to its poor handling in wind and waves. Maybe it handles better than I think and a rudder would be a mistake. I would be interested in what you considered before adding/deleting your rudder on your Ches. After getting the sloppy fittings from Feathercraft and CLC, I would search out a better rudder mfr and openly criticize CLC for passing along the Feathercraft "kit." Brian
