I have used the "shore" cement, and my brother used regular contact cement. We've had no delaminating in 4 months of use. Next time I'll use the cheaper contact cement, since I can see no advantage of the shore cement. I'd think that you would have better success with contact cement instead of silicone. The only reason I tried spray glue was convenience. Contact cement wasn't too bad, just smelly, and no, it didn't attack the foam.
